Get ready to celebrate the year of the dog

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2018 Is the year of the dog.

The Chinese view dogs as an auspicious animal that understand the human spirit. If a dog arrives at a home, it symbolizes the coming of fortune. There is a Chinese legend that says the invincible God Erlang used a loyal wolfhound to help him capture monsters!

The Chinese New Year (this will be year 4715) is celebrated on February 16, 2018. It will remain the year of the dog until February 4, 2019.

The New Year celebration, also known as the Spring Festival or Lunar New Year, can last four days and features lion dances, dragon dances, colorful costumes, fireworks, spending time with family and friends and of course, food!! In the USA, celebrations and parades are scheduled in many cities, including New York, San Francisco, Houston, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

At Treatibles, we view every year is the year of the dog (and cat, rabbit, horse, cow, bird, skunk - well, all animals)!!
